This week was a rainy one to say the least, but we did make it out the other morning to explore the seaside! As we arrived we observed some Canadian Geese with their young! We stopped to watch as they scampered across the road and then one by one they jumped into the water and swam to the next crossing road. Then from the back seat my eight year old son yells "Mom a new bird!" and we spot this colorful bird. Once we arrive home he does his research and finds out that it is Barn Swallow, and enters this picture as well as a few sentences about out trip into his nature journal.
